What happens when I close my account?

Settings, then Delete my account. It takes effect immediately and cannot be undone: your name, photo, bio, and saved addresses are removed, your username is released, your listings come down, and sign-in is permanently disabled.

Records of transactions you were part of stay: orders — including the delivery address on them — messages you sent, reviews, and the financial records. The businesses you traded with keep their receipts; everything is re-attributed to "Deleted account" instead of your name.

Closing is blocked while an order is still in flight, a dispute is open, or a balance is owed. Resolve those and try again.
